Sarah Southworth Reaches ‘Business Woman of the Year’ Final

Published on 17/06/2014
Preston’s Specialised Cleaning Services Owner, Sarah Southworth, has made it through to the final for the Business Woman of The Year award, at this year’s Be Inspired Business Awards (BIBAs).
Beating off competition from hundreds of initial applicants for this category alone and 12 shortlisted fellow interviewees, Sarah is now down to the final six, and for the first time in the history of the BIBA’s, the judges will be visiting finalists at their own businesses.
Sarah said: “To have reached the final round of the BIBA’s Business Woman of the Year award is a fantastic achievement, and is one of the highlights of what is already turning into a great year for Specialised Cleaning Services. I am looking forward to the judge’s visit and am pleased that they will actually see how I run my business and manage my team. I personally visit every specialist cleaning job with my team, and literally get my hands dirty on a daily basis.
“I think the judges will be surprised by this and at the same time will see the respect I have gained from both my staff and clients by working in this way. Ultimately though, the judges will see how much I enjoy every aspect of my business. The BIBAs ‘Judges on Tour’ is a new and innovative method of judging, but I think it will really help them to get under the skin of the businesses they visit, and I for one am looking forward to introducing them to the world of specialised cleaning!”
Over 1,000 top businesses across Lancashire entered The BIBAs, and the celebrated finalists will be attending the prize giving awards ceremony on 12th September at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom.
