Wigan-based facilities management business Oltec FM is celebrating after receiving accreditation by the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc).
Luanne Mason, Facilities Management Director at Oltec FM, underwent a rigorous training process to be certified as a qualified BICSc assessor, allowing her to support the training and assessment of staff to the highest international standards. Oltec FM is now implementing the training across all cleaning staff within the business, including senior leadership teams.
Oltec FM is one of the first facilities management companies in the UK to have on-site training and assessment facilities at its headquarters in Wigan.
Olivier Cavaliere, CEO at Oltec FM, said: “We’re proud to have been accredited as a BICSc training provider; it’s a testament to the hard work of all the team at Oltec FM. This independent, third party certification which is national, industry-wide and considered best practice, allows us to ensure we continue to provide our customers with the highest quality of cleaning services carried out to international standards.”
Delia Cannings, BICSc training provider, added: “We are confident that Oltec FM delivers high quality services in line with industry best practice and are pleased they can now train and assess staff to ensure they comply with our guidelines.”
Founded in 1974, Oltec FM provides integrated building and facilities management services to a range of sectors across the UK. They deliver soft FM services including cleaning to major retail and leisure partners such as Grand Central Birmingham, where they have an approved BICSc Centre at the new £150million premium retail and dining destination. They also provide services for The Light – Leisure Scheme in Leeds and many other centers including Trinity Walk shopping centre in Wakefield.
