Northwood Hygiene Products – the leading manufacturer and supplier of away-from-home (AfH) professional paper hygiene and wiping products – has announced that its range of Raphael dispensers are now being made from recycled resin.
The move has further underlined Northwood’s commitment to develop more sustainable product solutions, enabling its wide customer base to meet their sustainability targets.
Any solid components in Raphael dispensers are now made from 100% recycled material, meaning the white Raphael dispensers are 100% recycled and the smoke and blue dispensers are 50% recycled.
The dispensers are being introduced as a running change and customers will automatically transition to the new generation when placing new orders.

As part of its move to be even more sustainable, Northwood recently expanded its Green Loop end to end recycling initiative, which was developed to boost recycling rates of washroom waste products. Under the full-circle service, customers can easily recycle roll inserts, dispensers and used paper towels, helping to divert waste from landfill.

Developed to cater for any washroom environment, whether it’s large, small, high or low footfall, the comprehensive Raphael proprietary washroom system from Northwood delivers improved washroom hygiene standards, whilst also saving money and reducing waste.
With two toilet tissue and four hand towel dispensers, plus a soap dispenser, the range includes the TwinJumbo toilet roll dispenser – the industry’s first twin jumbo high-capacity proprietary toilet roll dispenser – which holds up to 800m of roll to minimise the need for frequent replenishing. The long-lasting Infinity paper system means that only one roll is used at a time to eliminate waste and deliver cost savings.
The Raphael hand drying dispensers provide contactless dispensing, whilst the toilet tissue dispenser incorporates a Biokleen-treated handle to inhibit the growth and spread of bacteria. Made from a single-piece shell, these dispensers are easy to wipe clean and all towels and rolls are fully enclosed for added hygiene.
