STEVEN RICHFORD APPOINTED AS NEW BDMA CHAIRMAN

STEVEN RICHFORD APPOINTED AS NEW BDMA CHAIRMAN
Steven Richford has been announced as the new British Damage Management Association (BDMA) Chairman, taking over from outgoing Chairman, Mike Waterfield, from 1st December.

He is keen to build on the work carried out over the past few years to establish the BDMA as a key contributor to wider industry collaboration and debate, which is benefiting all stakeholders and leading to a greater understanding of the role of damage management on a national and local level.

On taking up his appointment, Richford said: “I have the honour to be appointed as Chairman of the BDMA at a great time for the Association. We are seeing membership numbers continue to rise and rolling out new education programmes for our members, improving member consultation and chairing development of the new British Standard for Damage Management – BS12999, are just some of the initiatives underway at present.

“During my term of office I will be fully supporting these and other projects and promoting the further development of the BDMA in any way I can in order to underpin the personal development journey of our members.”

Steven Richford was heavily involved in the establishment of the BDMA and has served on the BDMA Executive Committee since the Association was launched. He is a BDMA Senior Technician and an Honorary Fellow and is a leading exponent of damage management best practice.  Steven Richford is founder and Managing Director of Richford’s Fire & Flood.
