Thomann-Hanry Employees Do Their Bit With Charity 10k
Published on 25/08/2015
Exterior cleaning and restoration experts at Thomann-Hanry have raised more than £1,000 for charity after completing a sponsored 10km run.
Last Friday saw the annual ‘Thomann-Hanry 10km’ take place, this year raising funds for Hospiscare in Exmouth and Lympstone.
Starting at The Old Palace Pub in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire, the route took the seven runners cross country around the outskirts of this historic town and back to The Old Palace where they were greeted by well wishers, supporters and a welcome glass of Prosecco.
More than £1,000 was raised for the Exmouth & Lympstone hospice, which provides care and dedicated support to people who are terminally ill. Funds are constantly needed for this cherished facility that helps more than 650 families a year.
Juan Cortizo, Head of Restoration at Thomann-Hanry organised the run. He said: “Hospiscare Exmouth is a charity close to home after it provided support to our family in difficult times. The work of charities like Hospiscare is so essential, but they need constant public support. Thomann-Hanry, thankfully, is thriving and we are committed to sharing in our success by increasing our support of charities both in and out of London.”
Juan is now hoping to run the London Marathon for Hospiscare next April and aiming to raise a further £3,000 to help the hospice.
