Robert Scott launches new cobotics cleaning division

Robert Scott – one of the UK’s largest manufacturers and suppliers of cleaning products for almost a century – has announced the launch of a new business division in cobotics cleaning solutions.

In a market that’s expected to grow across the globe, Robert Scott has partnered with leading expert in advanced cobotic design, Metabots, to become the UK’s primary distributor of its cleaning robots. The flagship product for the new division is the Meta-Scrub 60, an autonomous floor cleaning robot which features a range of next generation technologies.

To support the business’ expansion into this area of advanced technology, Robert Scott has appointed Kristal Goodwin as National Sales Manager for its cobotics division. With seven years’ experience within the automated cleaning and floorcare industry, Kristal joins the business from Truvox, where she managed the product training and sales of scrubber dryers, vacuums, carpet extraction machines, air movers and cimex machines to dealers and end users.

Kristal commented: “Robert Scott is a business with deep-rooted cleaning expertise that thrives on innovation, and it’s this receptive approach to new technology – especially in the area of floor cleaning – that really drew me to the role. I’m passionate about how the cobotics cleaning industry is evolving and I’m looking forward to introducing and educating businesses about the new solutions available through Robert Scott.”

Kristal will oversee national sales of the Meta-Scrub 60 robot and will support customers on their path to implementing the sustainable and cost-effective autonomous cleaning technology. By delivering detailed demonstrations and training programmes, Kristal will educate customers to incorporate the technology in a way that both supplements and supports cleaning operatives.

Ideal for larger areas and more time-consuming, repetitive tasks, Metabots cleaning robots are a valuable addition to facilities management cleaning regimes. In turn, this means that cleaning operatives can focus on complex and more high-value tasks, such as disinfecting, sanitising, deep cleaning and dealing with fast response and spot cleaning.

Gavin Holmes, Product Development Manager at Robert Scott, added: “As a company well-known for being Europe’s largest manufacturer of mops, we are both proud of our heritage and ambitious about the future of cleaning. It’s an exciting time to introduce our customers and prospects to the world of cobotic innovation, and we’re pleased to have Kristal onboard to lead the charge in helping our customers to understand the benefits of this innovation for their respective businesses.”
