Prestigious Private Bank Invests in Quality Cleaning

Published on 04/05/2016
The UK’s oldest private bank, C. Hoare & Co., has appointed cleaning specialist, Julius Rutherfoord, to provide contract cleaning services across all of its sites in London.
C. Hoare & Co. was looking for a specialist contract cleaning organisation to provide outstanding cleaning standards and high levels of consistency, while maintaining the utmost discretion and implementing the strictest security measures. In addition, the client requested that the contract adopted the London Living Wage, and be delivered with a thorough staff training, innovation and development programme.
Battersea-based Julius Rutherfoord was chosen as it matched these requirements and demonstrated it has the dedicated local resources and experience to deliver a long term partnership.
Marcus Heap, Julius Rutherfoord Sales and Marketing Director, said: “We are delighted to be working with C.Hoare & Co. They have an incredible reputation in the London financial market and they have very demanding standards.
“As a London specialist cleaning company with similar standards, we are looking forward to working with them to build a long-standing relationship. C. Hoare & Co is based in an interesting blend of historic and modern London buildings, with a very discerning client base. They expect the best and we are delighted they have chosen Julius Rutherfoord.”
The bank was founded in 1672 at Cheapside and has been at 37 Fleet Street since 1690. Signs were used to identify businesses in the 17th century and a golden bottle was hung over the doorway. The gilded leather bottle is now kept inside the building. Today, the old banking hall still has the original flag stones and brass fittings. The unique premise also includes the ‘Bond stairwell’ in homage to Ian Fleming who wrote a number of the James Bond novels from the top flat at 37 Fleet Street.
