World News: ISS sweeps up at the 2014 ICCA Awards

Published on 10/11/2014
ISS Facility Services made it lucky 13 at the 2014 Irish Contract Cleaning Association (ICCA) Awards, after eight wins on the night took their total number of awards won across the UK and Ireland in October to 13.
The biannual ICCA ceremony was held in Dublin on October 17, with ISS achieving five individual and three category wins at the event which received over 75 entrants for a total of 13 categories. The nominations were for specialist cleaning in Manufacturing, Office Buildings (to include Life Science and Technology businesses), Healthcare and Education sectors. Their success at the ICCA Awards follows wins at the BIFM Awards, EDUcatering Awards and Food Service ‘Catey’ awards earlier in October.
The ICCA Awards acknowledge the best in the Irish contract cleaning industry in respect of operative staff, supervisors, contracts and specialist cleaning categories. Over 300 delegates attended the ceremony which highlighted the many positive changes in terms of staff engagement, training and development.
Eric Doyle, Managing Director of ISS Ireland commented, “I’m delighted for all our award winners. These plaudits recognise the efforts of our front-line staff and of the management within the industry.” He added, “I must also pay tribute to all ISS nominated Operatives and Supervisors who were shortlisted in each category, as they too are winners from our perspective.”
Thomas Kempf, Chief Operating Officer, ISS Facility Services UK & Ireland concluded, “Winning these particular categories is very much aligned to our strategic goals. It’s an honour to have our peers provide recognition of the sectors in which we excel.”
