GOJO opens new state-of-the-art plant

GOJO Industries-Europe opens new state-of-the-art plant in France

GOJO continues to invest in both sustainability and the tough soils market, with the launch of a brand new, cutting-edge manufacturing plant.

Located in Croissy Beaubourg, France, it has been designed to meet the requirements of the heavy-duty industry, minimise its environmental impact and, ultimately, help the company to increase its capacity to serve customers even more efficiently.

Building on the $400m that was invested in 2021 to increase manufacturing capabilities worldwide, the €4.3m investment in this new building enables GOJO to offer innovative products such as heavy-duty soaps and wipes, as well as cleaning wipes, at excellent price points. Its fully automated systems are capable of producing formats ranging from 500ml bottles to 5L refills, and everything in between.

Designed to reduce the carbon footprint during the manufacturing process, the plant minimises product wastage, water and energy consumption. Its bespoke ‘Cleaning-in-Place’ systems increase efficiencies, whilst also guaranteeing the highest possible levels of hygiene. Additionally, thanks to its location, the supply chain is shortened and there is a reduction in the need to fly and ship products, further minimising emissions.

Chris Wakefield, VP European Marketing and Managing Director UK & Ireland, GOJO Industries-Europe, commented: “Although we are best known for skin health and sanitising, the very first product GOJO developed was a heavy-duty hand cleaner back in 1946. Today, we are just as committed to helping heavy-industry workers safely and effectively clean and care for their hands. Our new manufacturing plant in Croissy Beaubourg is helping us to do just that. Its state-of-the-art design is increasing our capacity whilst lowering our carbon footprint.”
