Dragons judge cleaning technology

The CSSA and CHSA have held an Innovation Showcase at the Brewery in London, highlighting some of the cleaning industry’s most advanced technology.

Representatives from 21 companies across the UK travelled to London to show their wares to a 'Dragon’s Den'-style panel of experts from the CSSA and CHSA. The technology on show included mops and vacuums, staff management software, cutting-edge cleaning products and sanitisers.

Every contestant had 25 minutes to impress the experts with their technology, and book their place in the final Innovation Showcase, which takes place on 15 March at the Brewery.

CSSA Marketing Director, Sean Taylor, said: “It was a really interesting day seeing all the presentations, and it was great fun being a ‘dragon’. There were definitely a few nerves from the panel and the presenters as it was all very different, reflecting the new modern approach of the CSSA and our sponsors the CHSA, but I’m pleased to say that no one froze like you see on the BBC’s Dragon Den and more importantly we saw a number of real stand out innovations.

"For me innovation is not just about the next big thing, and sometimes the simplest innovations are the best. Commercially the most important thing with an innovative product is being able to demonstrate the innovation and the value of that innovation and then getting the industry to recognise and embrace it.”

Places for the event are limited and on offer in the first instance to CSSA and CHSA members. If you wish to attend on 15 March, please contact John Findlater.
