Oltec FM Wins Major New Contract In West Yorkshire

Oltec FM has won a contract to provide all cleaning services to Trinity Walk shopping centre in Wakefield

Oltec FM has won a contract to provide all cleaning services to Trinity Walk shopping centre in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

The three-year deal involves 30 highly trained cleaning operatives working across the centre, which has more than 55 stores.

The new deal expands Oltec's current role at the site, adding cleaning to the successful security service they already provide and allowing the business to deliver a more efficient service at Trinity Walk.

John Edwards, Facilities Management Director at Oltec FM said: “The new contract allows us to integrate all our services, meaning staff at the centre work smarter and we can offer a more efficient and effective service to Trinity Walk.

“We have used our significant experience in the cleaning and retail sectors to ensure we can add value to our existing service provision. This new contract adds to the large number of other retail developments in our portfolio, including Grand Central Birmingham, The Light Leisure Scheme in Leeds and Trident Retail Park in Runcorn.”

Cormac Hamilton, Centre Manager of Trinity Walk, added: “We strive to offer the best service possible to shoppers and Oltec’s expertise is key to helping us provide this. Having one experienced team managing all our security and cleaning requirements makes complete sense and allows us to draw upon the significant experience Oltec FM staff have across many different facilities management disciplines.”

Oltec FM, founded in 1974, provides integrated building and facilities management services to a range of sectors across the UK. The business has recently been accredited by the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) to train and assess all cleaning staff to the highest international standards.

Described as the most important city centre development for more than 20 years, Trinity Walk opened in 2011 with major stores, including Sainsbury’s and Debenhams, and retailers such as Next, New Look, Topshop and H&M.

The shopping centre has gone from strength to strength since opening, with 11.22m visitors in 2015, making the city centre a thriving sub-regional shopping destination.
