Darren Booker Lands Ideal Role As Operations Director

Darren Booker has been appointed Operations Director at Ideal Manufacturing Ltd. The position will see Darren take on responsibility for operations at Ideal’s manufacturing base in Northamptonshire.

Working closely with the board, the factory personnel and Ideal’s Production Manager, Chris Anniwell, together they will manage operations and deliver new projects aimed at driving the company forward.

This appointment demonstrates our ambition to develop all aspects of our cleaning chemical manufacturing operation. Darren is extremely passionate about lean implementation and his genuine philosophy of continuous improvement suits our ambition really well.”

Darren started his career in the British Army as an Electronics Engineer in the Royal Signals based in Germany, completing active service in the Middle East in 1990-91. His career in business has developed from Electronics Production Engineer, Manufacturing Production Manager, Operations Manager, and Factory Manager to Operations Director. From his background in Electrical Engineering he has been instrumental in the design and manufacture of numerous bespoke machinery and process systems. His career has involved various key sectors including engineering, FMCG manufacturing, Litho and Digital print operations, packaging, POS, e-commerce and retail.

Dr Mike Kalli and Phillip Kalli continued: “We have known Darren for a while, and we are really pleased that he has decided to join the team here at Ideal. We’re expecting plenty of opportunities and lots of challenges over the next few years – but our ambition knows no bounds and we are seeking to make improvements to all aspects of our manufacturing operation.
