Emprise Supports Charity With Further Clothing Donation

After donating a number of jackets and trousers to London-based charity Suited & Booted last year, Emprise is sending another 1,400 brand new items.

This time the company is donating formal suits and shirts, which the charity will give to its clients for interviews, along with trousers, t-shirts and fleeces for those who may be poorly housed or living in hostels and need warm clothing.

Suited & Booted works with vulnerable, unemployed and low-income men, helping them into employment by providing suitable interview clothing donated by companies and professionals. It also offers interview advice and mentoring.

Dr Maria Lenn, founder of Suited & Booted, said: “We are grateful to Emprise once again for their generous donation, which will help our clients in interview situations and domestic environments.

“Some of our clients find casual clothing such as t-shirts, fleeces and jogging bottoms are a really useful addition to their wardrobe. Sometimes they have just moved into a home, their first in a long time, and so the clothing will give a boost to their feeling of support and stepping into a new life, as well as being very practical.”

Mark Beadle, Emprise’s Chief Executive, added: “Suited & Booted does an invaluable job of helping people less fortunate than others turn their life around.

So when we found that we had a quantity of surplus clothing, it made perfect sense for us to send it to the charity.

“Wearing a suit can improve self-esteem and give confidence in an interview situation but warm clothing is equally important in more casual environments and we’re delighted to have been able to help once again.”
