Environmental Credentials Help Nviro Extend Contract
Nviro has retained their contract with Brighton & Hove City Council to clean a wide range of its facilities, in a deal worth potentially in excess of £10million. Nviro has been working with Brighton & Hove City Council since 2004, successfully retaining the cleaning contract through several extension periods and tendering processes. The four-year contract begins in November 2014, with an option for further extension.

More than 100 buildings in Brighton, Hove and the surrounding areas are covered as part of the contract, including schools, offices, libraries, nurseries, sheltered housing schemes, entertainment venues, industrial units, civic centres and town halls. Over 300 cleaning operatives, backed by a dedicated contract manager, area and mobile supervisors, will deliver the required services. These include routine building cleaning, recycling, deep cleans and car park cleaning.

Brian Warren, Managing Director of Nviro, said: “We are all extremely proud to have retained this contract, which is a testament to our consistent high standards, innovative approach and outstanding customer service delivered by our highly dedicated ‘front line’ staff and management team. Brighton & Hove City Council is committed to green initiatives and a sustainable living wage – an ethos that Nviro shares through its emphasis on staff welfare initiatives and more environmentally-friendly cleaning methods. The partnership between us is a perfect fit.”
