Vax Announce Closure Of Commercial Floorcare Division

Vax Ltd has announced the closure of its commercial floorcare division, Vax Commercial, by the end of 2016.

Vax Ltd has announced the closure of its commercial floorcare division, Vax Commercial, by the end of 2016.

The news has come as a shock to the commercial cleaning industry, but a statement from Martin Farmer, National Sales Manager at Vax Commercial, announced that all existing trading relationships will cease on 31st December 2016, with the current sales team to remain in place to support this transitional period until 5th December, from which point no further orders will be accepted or processed.

However, the letter, which has been sent out to all Vax Commercial customers, states that Vax ‘will continue to support its customers by honouring all after sales service and warranty liabilities’, and that from January 2017, ‘a limited range of Vax Commercial floorcare machines, including the VCT-01 and VCT-02 vacuum cleaners, and the VCW-06 carpet cleaner, along with all spares and accessories’ will be available via www.vax.co.uk.

Martin Farmer added: “From 2017 on we will be focusing on our core domestic product lines and preparing for the launch of a number of new key domestic ranges in the first half of the year. Over the next few weeks my team and I will be contacting commercial customers to ensure that all aspects of our trading relationship are concluded and handed over. They will also discuss any opportunities we have regarding the liquidation of excess commercial machine stocks.

“On behalf of my team, thank you for your support. We wish continued success for you and your business.”
