Last chance to enter the European Cleaning & Hygiene Awards 2016

The final call for entries to the inaugural European Cleaning & Hygiene Awards has been made, with entries closing this Wednesday (8th June).
Time is running out to enter the inaugural European Cleaning & Hygiene Awards, with entries closing at the end of this month (24th), and organisers are calling for one final push, stating that the value of an accolade of this magnitude is ‘immeasurable to both your business and clients and will truly set you apart in the industry’.

Founded by the European Cleaning Journal, these new awards will recognise individual success stories, outstanding team efforts and novel approaches towards raising the standards within the professional cleaning industry across Europe. Submissions are welcomed from building service contractors, distributors, facilities managers, manufacturers and individuals, and provide organisations with an excellent opportunity to thank contractors, by nominating them for an award.

Entrants have until midday on Wednesday, 8th June 2016 to submit their 500-word entry for the judges’ consideration. With a wide selection of categories to choose from, those ahead of their field are strongly encouraged to submit an entry.

Discussing what makes an entry award winning, Dianna Steinbach, Director of EMEA Services at ISSA advised: “Firstly, choose wisely; think about your strengths and achievements that you are most proud of and match it with the categories that best fit. Give yourself enough time to gather all the evidence you need to help the judges understand why your entry should be shortlisted.

“Remember to keep it simple and focussed. If the project is too big, consider splitting it up so that your entry can do it justice. Ensure your entry has sufficient supporting hard evidence to make it count. Facts, statistics and testimonials are key, and do remember, a picture can speak a thousand words. Most importantly, be proud, have fun with your entry and good luck!”

The awards ceremony and conference will be taking place on Thursday 29th September 2016 at one of Barcelona’s most prestigious venues, the five-star Majestic Hotel. The event sponsor is Diversey Care, and the education partner for the conference and awards is ISSA/Interclean, who in addition, will be sponsoring the awards cocktail reception. The award category sponsors are Ceris Burns International, INPACS and Truvox International.
