It’s thanks to the people in the rest of my business: managers, directors and everybody else who allow me the time to go away and promote the cleaning industry.”

The multi-national judging panel was made up of European Cleaning Journal editor Michelle Marshall; industry consultant Jean-Marc Flaux (France); Director BIV, Johannes Bungart (Germany); President of ASPEL, Juan Díez de los Ríos de San Juan (Spain); and industry consultant Lynn Webster (UK).

Lynn Webster, Director at LWC Ltd said: “We were delighted to have such a tremendous wealth of entrants for these, our first pan-European awards that have exceeded all expectations in terms of both quality and quantity. This of course makes the judges’ role even more difficult.

“Congratulations to all of the finalists and for the exceptional standards achieved by the winners. It is so exciting to see recognition for the professional cleaning sector culminating in such a wonderful event, rewarding excellence across our industry and celebrating so many achievements and stories of success."

Diversey Care was the lead sponsor for this inaugural awards event. Its president, Dr Ilham Kadri, was at the ceremony and commented: "This first edition of the European Cleaning & Hygiene Awards has demonstrated the outstanding value that the cleaning industry is creating with groundbreaking innovations.

"As the lead sponsor for the event, I was both inspired and impressed by the great organisation and our customers' awards. Congratulations for a job well done."

The education partner for the afternoon’s conference was worldwide cleaning association, ISSA and the cocktail reception was sponsored by ISSA/INTERCLEAN.
