Industry Leaders Gather To Discuss Working at Height Best Practice
Published on 07/10/2014
Key issues will be debated in a leading safety forum this October, giving a unique opportunity for stakeholders to shape the way health and safety is managed at height.
The 6th annual event held later this week, organised by the UK’s access leader Nationwide Platforms, sees delegates and stakeholders from construction, manufacturing, health and safety and contracting backgrounds gathering together to learn about and discuss health and safety concerns.
Representatives sharing their experiences and opinions at the event include David Pyle from Heathrow Airport, Carlo Forini from Genie and Tim Watson from the CPA. Workshops will also be held throughout the day to discuss and debate key issues in the industry, and the future of working at height health and safety.
Mark Keily, UK Director of QHSE at Nationwide Platforms, said: “It is valuable to our industry to gather together and take the opportunity to discuss issues. In previous years, attendees at the event have made strong commitments towards improving health and safety, including utilising IPAF’s Accident Reporting Database and working together to improve health and safety in powered access. This year we are looking forward to building on previous year’s successes and seeing the commitments and outcomes from this best practice event.”
The Working at Height Best Practice event will take place Thursday 2nd October 2014.
