Bunzl plc, the international distribution and outsourcing Group, has made four further acquisitions in the UK with aggregate annualised revenue of £34.8million.
The company acquired 365 Healthcare Limited at the end of June; based in Droitwich, the business is engaged in the distribution of mainly own-brand healthcare products, principally operating theatre drapes and gowns, procedure packs, disposable surgical instruments and dressings, to a variety of customers including hospitals, GP practices and private clinics.
At the end of July, Bunzl then purchased the Cheltenham-based Premiere Products cleaning and hygiene supplies distribution business, of The Premiere Polish Company Limited. The business provides a variety of both own-brand and branded cleaning and hygiene products to customers throughout the UK, particularly those serving the facilities management and education sectors. BCHS will supply Premiere chemical brands via a 21-branch distribution network, raising the bar in delivering local customer service. Premiere Products will continue to operate in Cheltenham as an independent specialist manufacturer of high quality cleaning chemicals, supplying UK and International distributors based in 32 countries, but will no longer sell directly to UK end –users.
Finally, the company acquired two safety businesses also at the end of July. Lee Brothers Bilston Limited supplies a variety of mainly branded PPE and workplace consumables to customers largely in the construction and engineering sectors. Guardsman Limited, which is based in Leicester is engaged in the sale of a variety of safety equipment and workwear, both branded and own brand, to customers in various manufacturing industries as well as the construction and engineering sectors.
